soundart student radio 87.7 fm comes to dartington

Monday 13 November saw the launch of an arts-based student radio station at Dartington College of Arts with a special live and inter-active switch-on ceremony taking place at the Roundhouse Café.

The idea for Soundart Student Radio grew last year from the Contextual Enquiry Projects (CEP’s) of two (then) undergraduates, Nell Harrison and Lucinda Guy, who decided to create a new public space for experimental performance, curatorial challenge, local music, radio drama and much, much more. A space where the listener is the broadcaster and where the breadth of creativity is something mainstream radio can only dream off.

This new public space can be found on 87.7 fm from Monday 13 November. Details of the weekly schedule will be posted on the portal and on a notice board near you. If you would like to get involved or make a donation please contact Soundart Student Radio at soundartradio@dartington.ac.uk

Soundart Student Radio would like to thank the DCA Student Union, Dartington College of Arts, Dartington Creative Enterprise, Dartington Hall Trust and Devon Artsculture and all its volunteers for their invaluable support.
