This careful management and conservation of the three-mile Dartington stretch of the River Dart is a high priority for the eco watch team.

One of its most important mammal inhabitants is the otter, whose habitat is a key eco watch concern.

The river also provides the main food source for many other animal species including birds, bats and insects.
