Riverside residence
We had a very successful day when we completed the artificial otter holt by the river.

The holt is positioned in the area known as Berryman’s Marsh, near where the Bidwell Brook joins the River Dart.

Evidence of otter activity is regularly seen in this area and juveniles have been spotted this year, so the holt will hopefully be used over the coming autumn and winter months.

Dormouse survey
We are continuing our monitoring programme of dormice in the woodlands and hedgerows around North Wood. Evidence of the species has been found using the survey tubes, so nest boxes have been put for the species in specific areas.
